Track Sylvia Live on the NorthCape–Tarifa Race

On June 20, 2026, Borrego Springs ultra-endurance cyclist Sylvia Maas will begin the NorthCape–Tarifa race, a nearly 7,000-kilometer ride from Norway to Spain.


Sylvia is riding for Bike4BorregoKids, the initiative she founded to support Borrego Springs students through scholarships, mentorship, leadership, and educational opportunities.

Bike4BorregoKids Awards $30,000

In 2025 alone, Bike4BorregoKids awarded $30,000 in scholarships to Borrego Springs High School graduating seniors. Led by Soroptimist and ultra cyclist Sylvia Maas, the fundraiser supported 14 students with $1,500 scholarships and included an additional $5,000 Female Scholar/Athlete Award. Now in its fourth year, the initiative continues to grow through strong community support.

How Bike4BorregoKids Helps Borrego Springs Students

In the past two years alone, Bike4BorregoKids has awarded more than $57,500 in scholarships to Borrego Springs High School seniors, including $30,000 in 2025 and $27,500 in 2026.
